this is for a bro of mine
happy early bday, Doc =u=
All right. I just finished Soul Eater 113.
I’m not a very happy Vicki.
For one thing, I feel like the entire battle ending got gypped. As azusadeathscythequeen and I discussed, there are a shit-ton of loose ends. And NO REALLY, what’s happening with the moon? Because, if the black blood changed the density of the moon at all, then all the oceans in the world are now screwed up and that’s no good. Destroyed cities and such.
Also, witches pulling Spirit, Marie, Sid and Nygus off the moon?
Copout. Please don’t misunderstand me. I love all those characters. I used to RP Marie (crushinghammermarie). But it felt very contrived for this manga to not acknowledge the depth that it could have had. In battles, there are losses. It’s inevitable- on both sides. I know the argument could be made that “Well, we lost Shinigami, and we lost Crona.” Yes. We did. But Ohkubo had a beautiful set-up going into the battle that would have allowed for practically all the adults in the manga to be lost, and to allow the main characters to take their place and achieve growth. (See z-raid’s theory on this- I believe sykoscythe has one as well, but I don’t remember her main blog.)
But instead, we get a hastily wrapped package with an attempt at a nice bow. And that makes me sad.
Okay. Here’s the thing. None of these things are the thing that piss me off. And I know I’m going to catch hate for this.
I don’t think SteinxMarie should have happened.
A sane and intelligent opinion here. Much appreciated, nowherebutserenity.
so I’m digging this out again since now is probably the appropriate time to use it :|
